Horse events during the "Summer Joy" festivities

Horse events during the "Summer Joy" festivities in Skagafjordur 28. Jun – 4. July:

Breeding show
There will be breeding show at Vindheimamelar during  the week 28. Jun – 4. July. The show will probably starts on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on participation.

Open days at horse farms
Some horse farms in Skagafjordur will have a open days during  the week 28. Jun – 4. July.

The Saturday 3. July at Vindheimamelar
· Breeding show at Vindheimamelar – second assessment.
· Shows from horse-breeding farms
· Stallion presentation
The program starts at 10:00 am.

On Saturday there will be a midnight swim in Varmahlid (the swimming pool will be open from 7:00 to 24:00) and also in the evening there will be dance at Miðgarður, Varmahlid.

This summer at Hotel Varmahlíð is photo exhibit from the Historical Centre for the Icelandic Horse and the Skagafjordur Municipal Archives, open during the hotels opening hours - interesting old pictures.
