23 Nov 2009 - 14:46

At the Horse People’s Harvest Festival last night, it was the horse breeding farm Strandarhjáleiga which was nominated the breeding farm of the year. The farm has been nominated five times but yesterday was the first time it receives the title. The horses from this farm which were presented for breeding assessment last summer received an average score of 8.25 and the average age of the horses was only 5.8 years. Among those horses was for example Skuggi with a total score of 8.49 a score of 8.91 for quality and Bylgja with a total score of 8.58 and a score of 8.70 for quality. This is a great achievement on behalf of Þormar Andrésson and his family. Congratulations!
