First foal in Auðsholtshjáleiga is born

On the web site of the couple Gunnar Arnarson and Kristbjörg Eyvindsdóttir, horse breeders in Auðsholtshjáleiga, it is announced that the first foal of the year is born: “It arrived on the day 13.04.2010. This was a brown furry bundle out of Gígja frá Auðsholtshjáleigu and Gaumur from the same farm. Both parents have received a score of  9.05 for capacity so now we just wait and see what the little one does when his time comes, but the expectations are great."

We can easily imagine that the little one will be a bundle of talents, as his grandsires are. It is the unmarried daughter living on the farm who is the breeder of the brown bundle, but his name is yet to be announced. The two horses who have been presented out of the daughter of Orri, Gígja, have been 1st price horses so evidently the expectations must be great towards the new born son.
