For the past two weeks, the organizers of the Amderican tv show called "The Horse Show with Rick Lamb" spent some time here in Iceland....

in order to make a program on the Icelandic horse and Icelandic equitation.

It was the travel agency America 2 Iceland and Íshestar who organized the visit for the couple Rick and Diana Lamb to Iceland and they got to travel along with other tourists who were traveling on horseback around the country with Íshestar. This trip consisted of three days of
riding instruction at Hólar, visit to Landsmót and a four day horse trail ride with Íshestar around the area of Vatsdalur in the east Húnavatnssýsla district.

Guðmar Pétursson, one of the owners of America 2 Iceland, says that "The Horse Show with Rick Lamb" is a viewed by quite many people in the United States and they felt that it was a great idea to offer the couple along on this tour in order to draw attention of the Icelandic horse and Iceland to people in the United States.

Guðmar says that the couple were quite pleased with their stay in Iceland. They are fascinated by the beauty of the nature, and they think that the Icelandic people are especially friendly and the food came as a pleasant surprise to them. For a long time they have been admirers of the Icelandic horse and Diana has one Icelandic horse of her own in the US. They are impressed by they strength, courage and stamina of the horse and that the horse is very sure footed in the nature, Guðmar says.

Rick and Diana Lamb plan on making three tv shows as well as a radio show about their visit to Iceland and those programs will be aired in
November next.
