A stunning four gated horse with pace

"This did not come as a surprise to me. I had experienced this felling, everything is so easy for the horse,” Þorvaldur Árni Þorvaldsson says. He presented Hrannar frá Flugumýri II and received an extremely high judgment for talent at Brávellir in Selfoss at the end of May last....

 Hrannar received the highest assessment of all 6 year old stallions, and received a total score of 8.85, for conformation he received a score of 8.39 and for talent he received a score of 9.16. Also,he received a score of 9.5 for tölt and trot and 9.0 for pace.  “Hrannar is a fantastic horse; he has clean gaits and good equilibrium. He is like a four gated horse with tölt and trot, except he also has really good pace, with great glide and safety,” Þorvaldur says . Also,  Hrannar is the highest assesse stallion entering into Landsmót this year.

One always return from riding him with a smile“ Þorvaldur Árni also says, it was only recently that he received this horse for training and he had only tried the horse a few times before the breeding show. “I am enjoying the good that came from the training which both Þórarinn Eymundsson and Eyrún Ýr Pálsdóttir had done when training the horse.”

 Þórarinn presented Hrannar at Landsmót in 2011 at Vindheimamelar in Skagafjörður where Hrannar was in second place in the group of 5 year old horses and received a total score of 8.49. Yesterday, Hrannar raised most of his scores, for tölt, trot, pace, walk and temperament. Also, Hrannar raised his scores for conformation and before had received a score of 8.28 that element.

Þorvaldur Árni has presented four horses which all have received a score over 9.0 for talent and not many have achieved that. When asked what the key is to his success, Þorvaldur says that the most important thing is the willingness of the horse to perform.
